The shady sibling of Jessica Buchanan, Randy was the exact antithesis of his sister: nasty, self-centered, dishonest. Working as maitre'd at Ike Harding's crime-ridden Riverboat Club, he found lots of time for scheming, manipulating, and making an easy buck. Then, along with practically everybody else in town, Randy became a suspect in the murder of Jasper Delaney in late 1970.
Although suprisingly innocent of that crime, he was guilty of plenty more... mostly venial sins committed with his partner-in-trouble Pamela Davis. When the Davis and Delaney families were written out of the story in early 1972, Randy was sent packing with them, a terribly unfortunate move considering what fresh hell he could have caused later that year when the Syndicate decided to gain control of Somerset.
