ANN WEDGEWORTH
as Lahoma Vane Lucas
Warm, sweet, kind, and a little funny, Lahoma unfortunately had little to do in Somerset except drink gallons of coffee and lend a sympathetic ear to various friends, all of whom endured illness, cheated on their spouses, and got murdered.
Wife of attorney Sam Lucas, the highpoint of Lahoma's story occurred in 1973 when she discovered her husband had cheated on her with his bimbo secretary Chrystal Ames. Lahoma promptly snatched daughter Susannah and hightailed it back to Oklahoma, steadfastly refusing to have anything to do with Sam. In late 1974, she had an offscreen change of heart and reunited with him offscreen. Regrettably, Lahoma was never mentioned again.
